DS900X 2025 - Factory firmware (HMI 1.5 baseline)

Earlier 2025 production units shipped with HMI 1.5 / MCU SW -07 - the first widely-distributed firmware on the 2025/2026 hardware line. Replaced by HMI 1.8 / MCU SW -10.

Owner-reported - confirmed

Confirmed factory firmware loadout for an earlier 2025 production DS900X, reported by an owner on the Voge 900 DSX Facebook group with a full Menu → System → About screenshot before they applied the 1.8 update.

What’s on the bike

ComponentHMI 1.5 (this entry)HMI 1.8 (Nov 2025 entry)
HW (hardware revision)SS621-L8SS621-L8
OS (dashboard OS)SS621X15-OS-V2.3.2SS621X15-OS-V2.3.2
HMI (UI layer)SS621X15-HMI-V1.5SS621X15-HMI-V1.8
MCU SW (microcontroller)SS621X15-07SS621X15-10

Two components actually moved between 1.5 and 1.8:

  • HMI stepped from V1.5 to V1.8 (three-point bump).
  • MCU SW stepped from -07 to -10 (also a three-step bump, suggesting -08 and -09 may have existed as intermediate releases we haven’t seen documented).

The HW and OS strings are identical across both - confirming that this is a software-only update, not a dashboard module swap, and the underlying OS is stable across the 1.5 → 1.8 release.

How this fits in the DS900X firmware generations

The DS900X exists in two distinct hardware generations that aren’t cross-flashable without an HMI module hardware swap:

GenerationHMI hardwareHMI firmware lineExamples
2024 model yearolder HMI module4.x4.4 -> 4.5 -> 4.7
2025 / 2026 model yearnew HMI module (HW SS621-L8)1.x1.5 -> 1.8

If you’re trying to flash 4.x onto a 2025+ bike (or vice versa), it won’t work and may brick the dashboard. Voge does not publish this distinction explicitly - it’s been pieced together from owner reports on the FB group thread “How can I install the last firmware on the 2025 model?”.

What 1.5 was like (pre-1.8)

Owners running 1.5 reported several issues that were later fixed in 1.8:

  • Jerky throttle below 2,800 rpm in Road and Sport modes
  • Rough cold-start idle
  • Stale fuel-gauge readings that wouldn’t update until an ignition cycle
  • Unstable Carbit Ride app connection dropping intermittently
  • “False neutral” sensor errors causing brief jerking at startup
  • Notchier Quickshifter upshifts (still drivable, just less polished than 1.8)

These are all fixed or improved in 1.8 - see the HMI 1.8 entry for the complete changelog.

What you should do

If your DS900X shows HMI SS621X15-HMI-V1.5 and you’re experiencing any of the above issues, the 1.8 update is a clear quality-of-life improvement. Two paths:

  1. Voge dealer - bring the bike in. Dealer firmware updates are normally free under warranty. This is the safe path.
  2. OTA via Voge Global app / Carbit Ride - some 2025+ bikes can pull the update directly. Procedure varies by region and isn’t always available; ask your dealer if it’s been enabled for your VIN.

What we’d still like to know

  • Full quad-version readout for an as-shipped 1.5 bike (HW + OS + HMI + MCU SW from the Menu -> System -> About screen). Send yours in if you’re on 1.5 and haven’t updated yet.
  • The OS / MCU version paired with HMI 1.5 - we’d expect something earlier than the SS621X15-OS-V2.3.2 / SS621X15-10 seen with 1.8, but no confirmed data point yet.
  • Earliest production date that shipped with 1.8 from the factory (vs needing a 1.5 -> 1.8 update at dealer).
