Status: Confirmed by Voge · Fix: Update dashboard firmware via the Voge Global app · Affects: DS900X 2024-2026
This is the most commonly-reported dashboard issue on the DS900X 2024-2026.
Symptoms
Riders report one of two patterns:
- Freeze without reboot - the display stops responding to inputs (gear position doesn’t update, speed/RPM stuck), but the bike continues running normally. Usually clears after 10-60 seconds, sometimes requires an ignition cycle.
- Freeze with reboot - the display goes black for ~5 seconds, then re-initializes with the Voge logo. Trip data is usually preserved; ride mode and TPMS may need to re-establish.
The bike’s actual operation (ECU, ABS, TCS) is not affected. This is dashboard-only.
Common triggers
The most consistently reported triggers:
- First start after a long park (more than 24 hours).
- Bluetooth pairing or re-pairing while riding.
- Switching ride mode under specific RPM / load conditions.
- Cold conditions (below ~5 °C / 41 °F).
Some riders never see it; others see it weekly. Voge has acknowledged a software bug in earlier dashboard firmware revisions; subsequent updates address it.
Fix
Update the dashboard firmware to the current version available for your bike.
Delivered via the Voge Global app over Bluetooth, or by your dealer. The over-the-air procedure:
- Pair your phone with the bike via the Voge Global app (see the pairing guide if you haven’t already).
- Go to Device → Firmware in the app.
- If an update is offered, tap “Update” with the bike on (ignition position II, engine off).
- Don’t move the phone away from the bike during the ~10 minute update.
- Cycle the ignition when prompted.
After the update, check your dashboard’s Menu → System → About screen and note the new HW / OS / HMI / MCU SW versions. If you’d like to contribute that data point, send it in - we maintain a firmware version tracker by bike.
Dealer-administered updates are free under warranty in most regions.
Workaround if you can’t update yet
- Cycle the ignition (off → wait 5 seconds → on) when freeze occurs.
- Avoid pairing or re-pairing Bluetooth while the bike is rolling.
Owner reports
Most owners confirm a current firmware update resolves the freeze. A small number have reported recurrence post-update; these have generally been resolved by a second update or by a dealer reflash.
If you’re on a current firmware version and still seeing freezes, document:
- Your four version strings (HW, OS, HMI, MCU SW) from
Menu → System → About. - Conditions when the freeze happens (temperature, after how long of a ride, after Bluetooth pairing, etc.).
- Bike build date (from the VIN sticker).
Send to contact@vogeriders.net and we’ll cross-reference with other reports to identify whether there’s a regression.
